My very first mural was completed at my first pop up shop downtown in 2016. Creative expression was encouraged in that the space, and it was suggested that I should make some kind of mural. I wasn't quite sure what I was making initially, but as I painted, the colours and the shapes settled nicely into a man reading a book.

MAN SITTING READING A BOOK
CALVIN CHRISTIAN SCHOOL - CHILDREN MURAL
I did this mural for Calvin Christian elementary school! I put the Bible verse at the bottom from Mark 10:14 in this passage, people were bringing their children to Jesus that He might bless them, and when the disciples saw it they got upset and told people to stop doing that. But then Jesus rebuked his disciples and said: “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” I like this passage a lot because it says that Jesus highly values children. I wanted to quote this verse with the mural; when the children come to school they would know how much they are valued!
MAGIC SUSHI MURAL
It was a real blessing being able to do this project for Magic Max (the co-owner of Magic Sushi). This mural I completed before Valentine's Day so there was a lot of love poured into this mural! I prayed that God would pour His love for people into the paint. I had prayed that this mural would really bless people as they came into Magic Sushi. I really love people a lot! And during the making of this mural there were a lot of people going in and out and I got to have some really lovely conversations with them!
Max also wanted to make sure that we had a bible verse in the mural, and it was ALL about LOVE! First to love God, then to love people!
